+Introduction

Hey! My name is Sérgio Oliveira. I’m 24 years old and i have a degree in Multimedia Engineering.
I live in Porto, Portugal. I’ve been in the area of Web Design & Development for the past 7 years and my passion is to create eye-catching visual designs, which I turn into user-friendly web applications, considering the most recent web standards.
I’m currently on the lookout for freelance projects or full-time job offers.
I have a focus of always delivering accessible, standards compliant code and design, i have been exposed to Graphic Design, Video and Multimedia Development, Ergonomics, User Interaction Design and theory.
I’ve also developed and designed full-featured desktop applications based on Java and .Net, and mobile apps for PocketPC devices.

+Coding / Design / consulting
Producing the website using current CSS and XHTML standards is one of my strengths. But what i really love to do is backend development using server-side technologies like PHP and MySQL, and communicate with the browser using DOM and Javascript, producing the best experience possible for the final user. I also make sure to build clean and semantic code that ensures that the website looks consistent in all major browsers.
The visual layout of your site needs to match its purpose. Color, typography and graphic elements determine the presence of your website.

I spend my time obsessing about good coffee, tea, listening to music, watching good movies, jogging, dancing, listening to tech podcasts, drinking a beer with friends at Porto’s Night, and a lot of other boring activities :)
